Mindflex Review

I bought this Mind Flex game for my niece who turned 8; she begged and begged for it. This toy is fascinating. The only uncomfortable part about it is the magnet digs into your forehead pretty hard. The children didn't seem to mind at all, but the adults who all tried it, did Mindflex complain about it. Overall this toy kept the children's attention for hours, and could even be controlled in another room, simply amazing. It was a little pricey and I'm not sure if I would spend the money again.

Seemed like a lot of money for a toy that, quite frankly, I was skeptical of. However, I have a 10 year old with a thirst for Science, and so I ordered it. To my amazement, Mind Flex has given him many hours of enjoyment and surprised his friends, as well. Not to be left out, I tried it and with a little concentration, I was able to successfully guide the object ball through each obstacle. When my son tires of the game, we will pass it along to the younger children in our extended family for its educational and entertainment value.

I preordered this Mind Flex game for my autistic son's 14th birthday and was happy that it arrived before his big day. The biggest praise I can give to this game is that it actually SLOWED MY SON DOWN and kept him in place for more than 5 minutes!!! He was fascinated with it and it instantly had him in tune with his speed, concentration, etc. He says it's the best gift he's ever received, and it gave US the gift of time while he actually occupied himself with something for an extended period on his own - thrilling!! He did have a temporary dent in his forehead where the sensor lay, although we checked the headband repeatedly to make sure that it didn't feel too tight. It would be easy for the components to get lost - we'd suggest putting balls and obstacle pieces into a zip-lock bag and returning everything to its original box each time. I think that a toy that can help special needs kids tap into more awareness of their own space and rhythms is a wonderful thing.

My 8 year-old son has ADHD. He received this Mind flex last month for his birthday. Between setting it up and trying to navigate the ball through the course, it sustains his attention nicely. He must concentrate on the ball to control its height. When he doesn't, the ball falls. I tried the toy myself so I know it works. I have hopes that as we to use it he will continue to sustain better concentration.

Mindflex Duel Review

I never played the original, so had no idea what I was getting into. It's a great party game! It sets up quick, toss on the headset, put the ear lobe adapter on, and you are ready to go. The practice and single player modes for this are ok, but the dueling mode is where this game really shines.

We had a really good time just playing push back and forth, and it is hilarious looking at the faces people make to concentrate. Some squint, some strain, and then you end up laughing at the other person, lose your concentration, and they start winning so you have to get back into it. There is a whole strategy to just distracting the other person. And it is not just for the two people playing. Everyone else has a good time watching, laughing, etc. And it is a good game for taking turns (we do next up plays winner).Mindflex Duel Game

Overall, if you are looking for a good goofy social game where everyone can laugh and look goofy, this is a great choice.

I got the Mindflex Duel, cause I was a fan of the first one. The idea is a lot of entertaining, allows my son another outlet for his ADHD and works great at parties.

We got the first Mindflex for my son's ADHD. Now that we've a 2 player version, him and his friend can play, enjoy and it help with his attention issues. He has more fun with this game than the first. The social aspect really takes it to the next level. He has no shame with this toy, he thinks its pure fun and not aiding with his attention issues. Before he would lose interest after 10 mins, now because of the dual player, he stays at it much longer and doesn't loose interest.

I also took it to my weekly card night. A lot of my buddies have children, that have ADHD. I brought it just to show and let them know. Well lets say we stopped playing cards and had a tournament with this toy (boys will be boys).

With 2 player version now families and friends can play against each other, and I have to say it makes for a great friendly, fun competition. We also used at family night, and my daughter who does not have ADHD wants her friends to play as well. I highly recommend this toy!
